Hand Dyed Silk Scarves

Scarves

Shibori - The Japanese art of dyeing silk.

Pam works with natural silks and dyes to create scarves, sashes, hats, dresses and other objects.  She uses a number of different techniques from ancient Japan to the newest of methods to impart a variety of shapes and patterns.  Each scarf is hand made and no two are alike.  If you do see a color combination or a pattern that particularly appeals to you, a similar scarf could be made, but each is truly unique.

The color combinations she uses vary from earth tones to festivals of color.   The patterns resemble the gracefulness of flowers while others are more geometric.  There are also an infusion of metallic hightlights in silver, gold and bronze to add sparkle in the sunlight.

The scarves come in a variety of sizes from small to large.  They can be worn around the neck, wrist or waist,  as hat accents, used as luggage markers and in any way your imagination takes you.

The scarves are color fast and will not be harmed by water.  They can be washed in any delicate fabric detergent and ironed with steam without harming the color or silk.  They are meant to be worn and enjoyed.
